Network: OMNEST & OMNeT++

OMNEST & OMNeT++ – интересный инструмент для разработчиков R&D по симуляции работы приложения с сетью (в том числе может быть интегрирован в продукт) узнал из переписок IETF в BMWG working group.
Судя по сайту используют мега-монстры: IBM, ALU, Cisco, Mellanox, Qualcomm, Broadcom, HP, Audi, Saab, BMW.

It is quite resilient, and used in many areas. It is a simulator, but also supports e.g. hardware in the loop solutions. It can also be embedded. OMNeT++ is free for academic purposes, but you need to buy an OMNEST license for commercial use. ((G?bor))

With OMNEST you can make use of the models written for OMNeT++, the noncommercial version of OMNEST.
OMNEST simulation software has been chosen by R&D staff, researchers and engineers worldwide to investigate scenarios and design alternatives in various wired/wireless networks, interconnection networks, queueing-based performance models and other systems. OMNEST simulations can also be embedded into your own software products.

OMNeT++ is an extensible, modular, component-based C++ simulation library and framework, primarily for building network simulators.
